June 14, 1992 A day to rest, wash clothes, and see a soccer game. Cuzco beat Lima 1-0. The next 2 days were big shopping days, for Mary in particular.
June 17, 1992 We all flew to Lima, visited Melanie at South American Explorers Club, and checked into an expensive hotel. The French nuns ripped us off by over charging for dinner (even charged for plates that we did not get to keep). Lima had water, electricity, and driving restrictions (no driving on streets after 9 PM).
